Finally…here it is…a video glimpse of the Magical Musical…Moonshadow!
Moonshadow TV Spot
Just watched Yusuf on Knowledge network, really enjoyed show and gave us insight to your life, or glimpses anyway...still love your music, you are truly a positive force...thanks for sharing your gifts :)))
Yusuf, I recently saw Moonshadow in Melbourne Australia. Fantastic show and cast, my favourite character was the Moodshadow, brilliantly done. Congratulations and good luck with it going forward.
Phil of Perth WA
I saw Yusuf in Melbourne in 2010
Saw Moonshadow last night
Perfect timing for this show
Considering what the human race is doing to the planet
I.e 'climate change
It is bad enough what we do to each other and animals in general
Now all species/habitats will be devastated
Yusuf I truly wish you were still vegetarian
I love all your music
And the song 'I love my dog is special
I don't do one particular religion
I just be kind
Thank you, Yusuf, for two really magical nights! The musical is really amazing and Melbourne a great city, wouldn't have been there without MOONSHADOW. Thank you for turning around and talking to us at the car when you were leaving for the premiere party. You remember the two MAJICAT girls from the US and Germany...
Take care, God bless you and your lovely family
Peace & Happiness
Pss.. I didnt mean foreigner suite .. I meant 18th Avenue .. sorry .. this cold has swelled my memory a bit .. yeah 18th Avenue!!! loved how you put it in the musical!!! and Bitterblue :)
God bless you .. Tina
Moonshadow.. please transport me back to Alaylia .... (AU will do ) ..please.. as I close my eyes take my antibiotics , and ear drops , and sip on wild berry acai tea from my Moondshadow Musical Mug!~~ :) peace
Yusuf, I wish you all the best with Moonshadow and thank you for all the joy you continue to bring to so many through your music and peaceful presence in this world. Blessings,
Ps.... I forgot to mention not only did you put RubyLove in there .. hhaha so perfectly .... that was a winner.. when i heard the breakbeat of foreigner suite.. I was like ok.. he even put in foreigner suite ...hahaha ... I loved it .! Do you know how many musicals you could make with your songs?! .... its really unreal.... my friend Basil Twist is a puppeteer and helped build Peewee Hermans set for Broadway .. I think of "Into White" and what he would do to that set alone.... it be amazeeeeeeee-zing ! and the "Land of the Half Dead" I loved the projections next location you do it in I would love for you to hear his idea on what he could do to bring texture out even MORE with those creatures !!! haahah have it all come alivea altho I get its a hallucination or is his little voice . Well hope all is going well with Musical!!
the only thing is I caught that bug that was going around so now for some tea ... God bless you all . In Peace n Joy , Christina
In the FAQs (Didn't He Say "Kill Rushdie!"?), Mr Islam states very clearly in the opening line "I never called for the death of Salman Rushdie", I now point you to this youtube link:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-wjxwpvqps&feature=relate d.
where he not only calls for his death but that he under certain conditions he would himself carry out the murder.
This man is a religous fanatic, fundementalist and quite clearly a liar.
Blessings to you Yusuf ~ Hope you are feeling well and smiling with Joy from your heart ~~ I keeep thinking about this musical and the trip it is and all that it reveals .. just like all your songs one must delve into their treasurehouse and seeit from that eye to grasp it enormous message from your journey . I totally loved that chair Stormy sits on while singing "Sitting" that whole scene.. the chair when I looked grabbed me with its horns on the top of back of chair and the wings on sides and when he sits back there is a goldenhalo around his head.. wow.. sooo powerful.. that once I entered .. so much was revealed :) I could go on and on , on how much I received and got from your giving ~~ thanks for sharing sooo much> it is a "Broadway Baby" and I know in time n slight tweaks it could win Tony's >May you start a leapin' n hoppin' on a moonshadow to Broadway in the near future w maybe a concert thrown in at Beacon or MSG xoo With Gods Love, and a Smile , Christina >>> now that you've started my greek brother you can't stop .... #Broadway #GreekPower :)
I am greatly inspired, firstly by your music which is followed by generations and my generation of the nineties , secondly by taking the path of Islam at the peak of your career , leaving behind an illustrious career and remaining stead fast for what you believed in . not many people would have the courage to do so. You are an amazing individual and may Allah always shower his blessings upon you. i wish that one day , i would have the chance to meet you as you are one of the biggest inspirations around and yet you are so modest ! PEACE..

Hi Yusuf, Would you please add "Lilywhite..the "new" chorus,to Songs A to Z, when you get time.......the "Moonshadow" Musical allowing, of course. Glad to hear it's going so well in Melbourne. Best Wishes to you and the production cast and the cast of Moonshadow. It's so great the musical actually "happened"...at last. Let's hope it "lands" on a London stage someday, somehow,...how happy that would be for everyone, LOVE and PEACE ALWAYSxx
There are these rare people wondrous souls... who can look at the world and see things that the
rest of us don't see until they show us ...these are the writers... there are a special few who can take that vision and can turn it back into a world... these are the directors ..designers, composers.. choreographers.and writers..
there are fearless beings who can live in that world and show us who we are .. These are our actors ..
there are dedicated people who know why that world matters so very much..... the crew, theater staff, producers investers, managers,marketers.. and then.. there are the people who step forward and say, show me this world, bring me wonder, open me, change me, evolve me.. These are the Audiences and they say YES.. there is a world!!.. ahhh the theater. And I am one of so very very many that say YES to Moonshadow!
Congratulations Yusuf ~ I'm so happy for you ~~~ youu knooow' its a "Broadway Baby" :) May I be around God willing to see
it when it opens on Broadway!!! Amen xo Lets Go ... leapin' and hoppin' on a moonshadow .. moonshadow ... to Broadway ~~ :) With Gods Love , and a Smile, Christina Ps. I posted a long comment about musical on your fac
Dearest Yusuf, Thank you for a fantastic musical. My husband and I have been fans of your music since our teen years. We had the opportunity and privelege to see the last preview and the opening night of Moonshadow. The vocals were great, the sets were excellent, the lighting, annimations and sound effects were fantastic, the bubbles made me feel like a child again catching them. Overall it was an exciting, fun experience. Yusuf you are a musical genius. Thank you for your tireless effort to build bridges of peace and love, and for sharing your talents. Your music has helped us out of some dark places. I wish one day I could meet you, give you a big hug and say thanks. I wish you every success for Moonshadow. Best wishes Sharon xoxoxo

Namaste Yusef, Om Guru, Om Parvati Ma, Om Maat! I watched the majority of your interview on Sunrise on channel 7. I was watching with tears of joy listening to you discuss “choosing to do good and what is right” and that this principle is separate from our chosen religions. I believe so greatly in this, I have left fulltime employment after 30 years and am now studying the ancient civilisation that had the divine principle of Maat – truth, justice, harmony and cosmic order. Your sentiments resonate within me. I wish to thank you for you, your music and your guiding light to our world. Shokran Habibbi.
Om Guru, Om Yusef, Om Parvati Ma, Om Maat! Namaste Dear Yusef, I was privileged to have watched the majority of your interview on channel seven this weekend. I watched with a loving heart and tears of joy as you discussed "doing good and doing right" and that choosing the right path is not necessarily attached to any religion - just a personal choice.
I resonate with your sentiments on this, I have left fulltime employment of 30 years to go to university to study the ancient civilisation whose ruling principle was truth, justice, harmony and cosmic order. Your music has always thrilled me, your sentiments thrilled me more. Thank you for you, your music, your leadership in righteousness. Shokran Habibbi.
Auraris..........Please give them an extra cheer for those of us who could not get to Melbourne. Great to hear about the opening night,LOVE and PEACExx
Congratulations on the success of the opening nights of your MOONSHADOW musical....AT LAST!! I could not say "Good Luck" before, because of the old superstition.(Please see Wikipedia..Theatrical Superstitions..ha!)However I understand that the word "Chookas" is used in Australia. Lets hope a London theatre does a version of Moonshadow at a later date. That would seem appropriate, and a terrible waste for it not to happen, seeing as you started out born in London.LOVE and PEACExx
The countdown has just begun, only hours away for the grand opening of your long awaited dream. My very best wishes to all, on stage and off stage. Just a short glimpse of the TV SPOT was very impressive. My home town, as in the past, will never let you down. Even though you won't be on that stage, your heart will be felt in every note sung by your very talented cast. There is no doubt in my mind, MOONSHADOW will captivate your audience and critics. Now let the show begin!!!! xxxoooxxx

My very first post here...been surfing here for a while now even though I just joined recently. I have been a long-time fan and have been listenening to your music...I cannot get enough of it....your latest creation musical.. I must go and see. Good reviews are popping up everywhere. Also, I wanted to reconnect with my old co-fans during the catstevens.com about 12 years ago. I was "Lillywhite" if anyone remembers. Would love to hear from you all and maybe we all can make plans together to go to Melbourne just like when we went to UCF in Orlando, FL to see Yusuf speak. I will never forget that. Take good care of yourself Yusuf and I am so happy that you are back on stage and singing again for us. Thank you for that....Libby
