1. Yusuf, I have missed you. You can imagine how excited I was to hear you were coming to Australia. I finally saw you in Sydney. It was wonderful seeing you, still handsome, and hearing the crowd singing along with you. Many different people, different faiths, singing the same songs, sharing the same spiritual experience. 2. Hello Yusuf, My dad and I recently saw your concert in Sydney, and I wanted to write to you and say thank you. My dad grew up listening to your music, and he passed it down to me, as I grew up. Your words and music have been with me throughout my entire life, and they have supported and guided me, along-side the love of my dad. As you have journeyed, so too have we. As Cat and Yusuf, we have lived and learnt with you, and seen your growth and development from a man searching for answers, to one that appears peaceful and content with those that he has found. 4. Salams Brother Yusuf, My father and I watched your Sydney tour on the 23rd of June. I would like to say that it was so spectacular to see you. You were humble and your concert was amazing. It was a life long dream for my father and I to watch you and a couple days on we are still beaming with joy. Oh how i wish we were just able to meet you. Inshallah in the future.. We would just like to tell you that you are an inspiration to all and a beautiful role model to our children and their childrens children. May God keep guiding you and your family on the straight path. I would also like to qhickly share with you that my favourite moment in your concert was when your dedicated your song father and son to your son. It put tears in my eyes just thinking about my father who was sitting next to me and how much he has strived for my brothers and sister as well. At that moment all that could come to my mind was my son and inshallah my husband sharing that song with him. 7. Dear Mr Yusuf Islam Salaams we are a handful of muslims in Christchurch nz and look forward to your arrival dearly. We do have a non-profit radio time, called Ummahtown show on Plains FM 96.9, that airs in Nz and Australia targetting muslim youths. Would you have time for an interview in your tight schedule? A talk at our mosque at Deans Ave would be fantastic of course. We could do with a boost esp with regards to unity etc and on -air would be great. Islam has not been here in Chch for long, and we look forward to any kind of advice . If by some stroke of luck you are able to squeeze time... can you get an email to hesham.jones @ gmail.com, as we understand it is impossible to get you in any other manner , and apologise that we have come to this. 8. one of life long my dreams was to see Cat Stevens in concert, as from a young lad. I have got all the LP;s, which now I have on my i pod.but once I got my ticket to go to to the Sydney show I was on cloud nine.just being part of the croud was like having 2 tails, and not knowing which one to wag. 9. Yusuf, thank you for giving all your Aussie fans (nay, devotees) and chance to see you in person. Wednesday night was very special; esp considering that I was joined by my two daughters. You again displayed the compassion and love we have come to expect from this balladere. You, the Roadsters (including Alun Davies - WOW!) wove a magic that transported me to another "space". I cried, I laughed, I mused. The highlight for me was "But I Might Die Tonight"; words that have directed my life since Tillerman. I have to thank a dear teacher of mine - Colin Tilley for introducing your music to me 40 years ago when he taught his class Moonshaddow (to the grimace of the Principal at the Catholic school I attended then I must add). Oh, and your join (for want of a better word) of "Sitting" to "To Be What You Must" is simply amazing on Roadsinger. It seems to tell me that you have found what you have always been looking for... and I hope that one day I will do likewise. 14. Thanks Papa Yusuf :) My wife and I were entranced by your storytelling mastery and beautiful music. You were also wonderfully humble and downright funny with your antics. Your band is super, loved the fretless bass and mandolin, percussion, keyboards and lead guitar all combined to produce the magic. 15. I went to your concert on Monday night in Sydney and revisited the magic and love of your music I remember from the 70's and 80's. My daughter 27 years old came too and delighted in remembering the memory of music I played for her as a small child. 22. Hi Yusuf, my best friend and I attended your Melbourne concert on Friday 18/6 and I cannot express how much we loved the show. Your songs took us back to a time when things were a lot simpler and to see the effect of your music on others around us was amazing. As we were walking back into the city, passing by a ferris wheel it was lovely to see people who have not felt so alive for a long time to grab each other and go and ride the wheel. 23. Dear Yusuf Thanks for making a dream come true for me on Monday night in Sydney. I never imagined that I would see you perform live. I have been a fan for over 30 years. 28. What a brilliant artist. I went to the Melbourne concert on the 18th of this month. It was my first concert and I am sure no other concert will come close to Yusuf live. Out standing and amazing, the best night of my life. I hope Yusuf never stops writing, he is the BEST.

29. I hope you come to the US in the near future. I am 57 years old and I still remember listening to my first Cat Stevens' album ("Tea for the Tillerman") and was totally mezmerised by his music. Subsequent albums I purchased had me convinced that not only was he a rare and gifted talent but a very kind and gentle soul. He is truly one of the music legends of our time but grossly underrated by the music industry. Hopefully this will change in the future.

35. Hello, My Mom saw you play in either Norfolk or Hampton, Virginia in the 70s while on your Earth Tour. I am 30 years old and have grown up hearing your songs from my mother and then dusted off her old records and played them as a teenager myself. 40. Yusuf, Last night your concert was the greatest musical experience of my life. I know you've probably heard this all before, but it never hurts to hear it again. I never thought I would ever be singing Waltzing Matilda in your concert! What a surprisingly pleasant surprise. Also I must add that Noxshi were brilliant, finally a modern band that captures that great late sixties sound. Thank you for showing us how to be true to our selves. It was great to see people of all ages there, you have away of breaking through all barriers and that's why we love you. What a magical night in sydney on the 21st June....it wasnt just a concert but an overview of a perfomer's life married to his love of music, peace and sprituality with marvelous graphics and screen images to enhance the musical tapestry. Two encores were not enough as the audience would have loved to hear more. The biggest surprise and delight was seeing not just one but 2 photographs I submitted showing twin brother and my late father from the 60's and the 90's during the performance of Father and Son. What a great idea. Topping off the encores with Rubylove , Tuesdays Dead and Peace train....musical heaven.... I hope that Yusuf will consider recording the songs from his tours to form part of a live album so that for those who were not able to attend hear a perfomer who is still to reach his musical peak. 53. Dear Yusuf , thank you for the concert on Friday Night , June 18 , 2010 at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena. My wife , and 2 of my children attended , they are aged 33 and 28. It was great . I liked your sense of humor , particularly when you said "are you expecting a lecture." And hands up if you knew I wrote that song ( First Cut Is The Deepest) . Well I loved your lecture - you sung it and after hearing the songs I realized that you are a very spiritual person with a message , whether your name is Cat , Yusuf or the name your parents gave you .
