I attended your concert 16/6/2010,in Melbourne with my husband 22 yo son and 18 yo daugher, my sister and her husband also came with us and their 3 teenage daughters and it was the most amazing experience for all of us. I agree with Elaine Raphael that your music trancends age, race and time. Thank you for showing the Father and Son photos it was special to see my husband and son on screen during the son, they were honoured. It was a very emotional concert and we will also cherish the memory of that concert for a lifetime.
I was unable to attend your concert, because of health problems, but I do hope there will be a DVD I can purchase somewhere soon. I am sure I have missed a most wonderful performance from this amazing man.
Had the most amazing night at Fridays concert in Melb.. my 23 yr old son and I attended ... Both love old and new songs.. Yusef, you sing to a multitude of ages and your message is one all of society should embrace.. thankyou from both of us.. awesome night
Hello Regine, thanks for your invite to post on the Magicat site. I love that website, do you work on it? When I rediscovered Yusuf I spent many happy hours looking through the articles and photos.
I wasn't sure if Noxshi wanted videos circulated on the internet? Do you know? I don't want to go against what they prefer. At the concert we weren't allowed to video Yusuf (I was in the front row, and security told me not to). I was unaware that artists did not like people taking videos. No one seemed to mind when I videoed Noxshi though, including the boys themselves. I'm not sure of the quality, as I was using my sister's camera. I have to wait until she uploads the photos from her camera, and then I will try to post on Majicat. Best Wishes, Marion
Again so many beautifull comments for you Yusuf great but will this lady named Marion Yates who took video's from Noxshi please come to www.majicat.com our friendly family site for Yusuf to show and share her video's with all the other Majicat and Noxshi,Yoriyosfans we would all be very happy(the homestayers)to see thanks and hopefully you come to our site ,that you also can visit via Yusuf.com here when you go under this page to links you will find also Majicat.com a site dedicated to our friend Yusuf also very welcome as member on the messing board Regine
YUSUF......
A butterfly gently landed on my eager outreached palm,
I watched in wonder at the beauty
I listened
The wings fluttered for a moment
I felt the wind
My soul stirred
And then
The butterfly rose up into the air
I held my breath
I clutched my dreams
But it was gone
Perhaps forever
Fleeting inspiration in a tired world
Weary hearts
How can we know which way to go
A tear drop fell and I wondered.........
Hey, this is a comment for Noxshi, I'm not a myspacadet so can't post there directly. I saw you at Rod Laver last night, and was well impressed! I'm 35, have two little ones, and live in the country, so my clubbing days are pretty much behind me, but I would have loved you guys when I was going out. To Alex, you ROCK! I was a Chilly Peppers fan in high-school, and I really dig your base work! I was in the front row on your side of stage taking vids, you looked like you were really in your groove, you even gave a smile in my direction when my flash went off. Nice. I read Yoriyos' post saying you were self critical - DONT BE! Cool goggles. M
Thankyou, Yusuf, for a beautiful concert last night. We felt your peace with yourself and God and, what a lot of fun we had! In February we played "All Kinds of Roses" as our new Kinder class were escorted down the church aisle with their Year 6 buddies.( and some bunches of roses) I was so moved to hear that song last night as it seems to mean a lot to you and now to our school community, also. Thank you for sharing your talents and joy. Judy
I was wondering if there is some way I can buy the program and other merchandise from the Australian concert. I did not have time to buy one at the Melbourne concert last night? Also how long do you expect the DVD to take after the tour is finished? Many Thanks
Thank you Yusuf and band for your performance last night in Melbourne. I was there with my Mum, we traveled for three hours from country Victoria to see the concert. It was a super human effort from my Mum who is very unwell and can hardly walk, she was panting by the time we got to our seats. It was worth every step.
I wanted to acknowledge your efforts in bridge the two worlds you have inhabited: Cat the popstar; and Yusuf the spiritual man. It is touching to see you embrace and make peace with your music. I feel that you are opening a door for many people, who might otherwise not, to look more deeply into their spiritual life. You offer this in a humble and non-judgemental way, like an olive leaf. Salem, Peace. Marion
Yusuf, you are a beautiful man what a performance last night, went to the concert in Adelaide on Sunday and that was truly an amazing experience for me I will treasure it forever...
God Bless

I first heard your music through my dad playing you on our old turntable and with a family of Greek heritage I was especially happy to hear Rubylove at the Friday night concert in Melbourne. The concert was fantastic and although I knew it had to end I just wanted you to keep playing on and on. It is definitely one of my life's experiences that I will not forget, thank you for your wonderful music.
Salaam brother,
thank you for a beautiful experience last night in Melbourne (friday 18th), I took my wife for her 35th bday. Very emotional throughout the entire night, and thank you for putting me and my son up on the screen. You'll always have a place here to stay in Melbourne. Peace and blessings to you and your family. Love the Brkic family.
To yusuf thank you for your beautiful music,i have never been to a concert with so many different people. Please don't wait too long to come back to Australia.Peace be upon you and your family.
Came home on a from the most amazing second Melbourne concert. What a stunning evening - truly delightful experience.
Iunderstand it was recorded - can't wait for the DVD if there is one
I came home from the Friday night concert about an hour ago and I am still smiling! Wonderful show. Thanks to Yusuf and a great band, including Alun Davies! A woman next to me had a tear rolling down her cheek during 'Father and Son' she was so touched. I also liked the themes in the new musical 'Moonshadow' on an intellectual level.
Just home on a high after the second Melbourne concert. The most amazing, generous, sacred, heavenly, artful, stunning evening .... thank you so much for returning to our shores, even if i did have to wait 36 years! BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL ... much gratitude, and great band.
Chris
I had the privilege of being there on Wednesday night. Funny that I wasn't even alive when Yusuf was here last! What an amazing experience, you didn't let us down in the slightest! All the hits, plus the new stuff... incredible performances, passionate vocals, and some laughs along the way! Worth every cent, don't wait another 36 years Yusuf!!!
just dug out my old diary which shows you playing at the Hammersmith Odeon ( now the Apollo) 20 Dec 1975 - was working on Security that night and remember seeing you doing a sound check on stage ( I watched from the wings ) just by yourself - what a wonderful sound - singing to an empty theatre-
and NOW - 35 years later - in Melbourne - just as fantastic and us, along with the 25 year old daughter saw your show - Loved it - what a fantastic experience-
I am only 23 years old so I was not around in Cat Stevens' time. But I grew up on your music and to seeing you in concert was a dream come true.
Years ago at the Night of Remembrance signing in Dubai (I think it was 2006) my friend gave you a letter. I had written about how your soulful words and lyrics have changed my life. In return you signed something for me which I have always treasured. Now through my love of your music and your life choices I met my fiance (whose name is Yusuf)....So you have really had a meaningful impact on my life.
I thought the concert was absolutely wonderful!!!! I was sitting in the 3rd row :) Your voice hasn't changed at all. I was so glad you sang all your old classics and I really enjoyed the new ones too.
PS - I thought your son's group (Noxshi) were fantastic. The song dedicated to his mum was my favourite.
I am still in tears after your performance. I wish there would be more people out there like you who can send a message of love and world peace among all human kind trough inspiring music for I strongly believe this world needs faith not religion or politics because my friend from the start of our journey into this world all mankind shed the same blood color. Like you said there is only one god which should have no controversy to being Christian or Muslim. God bless you and your family always and please don't keep us waiting another 36 years. Your music takes away my pain, cant waith for the musical. You are simply the best.
We took our 5 year old daughter to her first concert on wed.night and what a night it was, she sang to her favorite
song Moonshadow and we sang along to all the others.
Yusef you are an amazing person, thank you for sharing your beautiful music with us.
p.s our daughter wants to know more about Stormy and so do we!!!

If you don't play the piano others can do ,it's the song that counts and the fact people need to think about the matter .Thanks again for making us all very happy again Regine
Yusuf after last nights triumphant performance in Melbourne, the message was loud and clear,"YUSUF WE HONOUR YOU, WE LOVE YOU, WE MISSED YOU, DON'T LEAVE US AGAIN, FOR YOUR WORK HAS JUST BEGUN!!!!!
Yusuf, even those of us who could not be there are lapping up every single word, photo, and video of your recent concerts. The comments echo those made by myself and others fortunate enough to see you in London last year. As my friend Gabi said so well, we love you Yusuf!
My wait is nearly over. Tomorrow night I will see the one I have adored since first picking up a guitar in 1975 at the age of 15 and playing his moving and inspirational songs. I am so excited that I will be hearing him sing and speak. I respected and understood him leaving us for his beliefs but am so gratefull that he has returned to us again to bring us a message of love. It will be an incredible experience.
