Competition: Yusuf Live in Australia DVD and Tour Tshirt

With the release of Yusuf: Roadsinger Live in Australia DVD we’re giving away 5 SIGNED copies plus an official Tour T-Shirt for each winner as prizes. All you have to do is answer the below question correctly and your answer will be drawn out of a hat, a coat or another method which is fair :)

1. I don't know how I didn't find this out sooner. I just watched the Majikat DVD last night and at the opening my jaw hit the floor. The Williamsburg taping was the concert that my Mom was at in 1976 when she was 19 years old! I really got into Cat Stevens music as a teenager around 1996, when I was 16. I used to wear my Mom's t-shirt that she bought at the concert in 1976. Little did I know that it was going to be so famous. So the ironic part is that I always wanted to go see Cat Stevens in concert with my Mom and I ended up seeing the very same concert 35 years later. Ofcourse I called her when I saw the opening credits and she was shocked, she still has the ticket stub and t-shirt. She always talked about driving from Norfolk to Williamsburg to him in concert at William and Mary.

2. Well, the three copies of the DVDs arrived safely - but they are unplayable here, in Canada. I have to send them back, and wait 'til they are issued for the rest of the world. Something about our "region" being Region 1 (not "4" - as indicated on the packaging) and our TV format being NTSC - not PAL. So - no Yusuf for Christmas. But - will look forward to being able to order it in the New Year.

3. It is my birthday today (born the year of Cat's 74 tour to Oz), and I recieved the Australian tour DVD for a gift from my two children. We all watched it together straight away. At one point when Trevor appear in close up my little two year boy said "there's the double bass player mummy, I can see you singing." Amazing because I was in the front row at the Melbourne concert right in front of Trevor! Wonderful memories. Thanks, Marion.

5. Went o the Adelaide concert and loved it. Bought the DVD today and loved it just as much. While there were some favourites missing, I am grateful that Yusuf is again performing and recording. Awesome!

7. I've crossed the Atlantic Ocean (I live in Brazil) to see Yusuf in Dublin and I won't mind to cross it again to grab my DVD and t-shirt. I have another question for you: when will Yusuf come to Brazil? He has a lot of funs here.

9. Thanks for your remembrance of John Lennon's musical gifts to us. A few weeks ago PBS broadcast a great documentary "Lennon in NYC" that poignantly brought back his image and voice for a moment --and underscored the loss of his unique gift. Like Yusuf, his voice is a comfort and inspiration for those of us whose philosphies were influenced by their art.

Also, Yusuf, fantastic interview on the Today Show with Richard Wilkins (http://today.ninemsn.com.au/videoindex.aspx?videoid=9f44acc6-bb79-49c8-8136-fe5b3dfcdf39 ). Iâ€™m so glad youâ€™re speaking for yourself these days â€“ itâ€™s wonderful to hear from you. I also love listening to â€œRemember the Days of the Old Schoolyardâ€ â€“ it has so much energy and itâ€™s great for exercising. Your wife must be pretty cool, too. I mean, she puts up with your jokes like this one: â€œThereâ€™s never a lack of something to do with moneyâ€¦and my wife also helps me when she goes out shopping.â€ Made me laugh. We women have to shop, because if we didnâ€™t, I daresay our men would still be squeezing into their jeans and T-shirts from high school. 12. I'm Out! I always choke on exams. The thought of taking a test takes me back to my college days in 1980, and that was a very bad year for music fans like me. The two guys I was listening to most stopped making music. It was bad enough that Cat Stevens had stopped making music, but on Dec. 8th a tragedy of such unimaginable magnitude occurred that even 30 years later the thought of it still draws tears from around the globe, even from me. This world will never hear the music John Lennon would have created; but decades later An Other Cup was released and it was so great to hear/see Cat/Yusuf again, to hear his new music and to see him content with his life, at peace in his Faith. I don't know . . maybe to balance the scale in my own mind for that loss All Those Years Ago, I want to hear New Music from Yusuf for another 70 years; music gushing from a life full of passion & joy. Thank God life goes on.

14. I have tried twice to post the answer - but the URL given just re-cycles me back to this page. Also have tried twice to post this comment (yesterday - Sunday) but neither have "taken." In any case - the three copies that I had already ordered have arrived - and I am completely delighted. Two are for friends who are also fans - and they have just about everything Yusuf has ever done - but are unaware of this last item. So - it's going to be a very happy surprise for them. Thanks so much for having recorded this tour . . . it's a real treat for those of us who couldn't possibly have been there.

16. Disappointed with "Yusuf Live in Australia" dvd, I was at Brisbane concert and this Melbourne concert dvd doesn't include "Where do the children play" or "peace train". I bought 6 copies of DVD from JB Hi-Fi, 5 copies as xmas presents for friends who also went to the concert, and I've just watched my copy.
  
  Webmaster's Reply: Sympathy to those who wanted all the songs to be included but the length and flow of the DVD meant certain decisions needed to be taken by the editor. Most people who didn't see the concerts, however, are over the Moon about it.
