Expect Blue Moon Announcement Soon

There is excitement in the Southern Hemisphere with the possible announcement of Yusuf touring Australia and New Zealand in June. This will be an historic occasion after 33 years – a true Blue Moon experience.

In his absence, there have been several Cat Stevens Tribute shows which have enchanted audiences with the moving and legendary songs and hits from his musical life-journey. This would be a chance for his fans to see and hear the real legend himself.

Your words move me like nothing else and the sound of your voice is profoundly soothing to my soul. And in this anxiety filled world, I welcome this calmness with arms wide open. And even if you don't tour the US, I still want to THANK YOU for the music and for being a true inspiration and savior to so many.

4. The first concert I ever went to was in 1972 at Festival Hall in Melbourne Australia, I was 14. Music then, as it is now, was a huge part of who I am. The Zimmering tour was, and still is, something I will never forget. My youngest son is now 14 and just like his mother, music is a main focus for him personally & scholastically. When I mentioned to him there was a chance Yusuf Islam was going to tour Australia he was beside himself. He has made me promise that if this is true then I am to queue for tickets as soon as they are available, so cute! I hope I get the chance to share the experience of your concert with him as I did all those years ago. Your music is timeless, ageless and always inspiring. 5. Bob Angell maybe you can order the roadsinger cd in the UK THERE YOU CAN FIND A DVD OF BOOTS AND SAND AND HE IS GREAT TO SEE. 11. I think it's great that you're touring again. It's extremely unfortunate for me however, i live in the United States. I hope one day you will be able to tour here. I'm nineteen and have been a fan all my life, from when my mom hummed your songs to me as a baby up to now when i have all your records and constsantly listen to them. 13. I really love the song "Boots and Sand." However, I have never been able to find a way to buy it. Is there any way for an American to get this song? Or are we all being punished for the actions the bonehead who Yusuf on the no-fly list? And I will reiterate my fervent request for Yusuf to tour the USA...or at least play Boston!

14. I agree with you, downunder-72. There IS a connection to some higher power...and the title, "Blue Moon Tour" glows with a mystical kind of feeling, too... Thank you for the information on the weather in Australia in June. It's great news that it doesn't usually snow - so much easier for Yusuf and the concert-goers to travel...I hope everyone enjoys the anticipation and excitement as we await more news from Yusuf. June is not that far off....

15. Sunny, that was very interesting about the double 'Blue Moons'. Do you think there is a connection with Yusufs title 'Blue Moon Tour'? I think the answer is yes. Yusuf has always been mystified by the wonders of the universe. It could be the powers of the moon and the universe that will bring him back to the southern hemisphere after so many years. To me it seems perfect timing. June is like December in the north, but it hardly ever snows, well it didn't when I was living in Melbourne many moons ago. Angela K., nice to see another fan that goes back to the year 1972. 16. Thank you for this wonderful and exciting news. I hope the BLUE MOON TOUR takes place and is a great success. Here's something that I find interesting. According to "The Blue Moons of 2009 and 2010" (http://www.obliquity.com/astro/blue2009.html), "Australia and New Zealand enjoyed a rare double Blue Moon in 2010, when both January and March had two Full Moons." So, if there IS a Blue Moon Tour this June, Yusuf will be bringing the 3rd Blue Moon to these parts in 2010. Wow! I guess that downunder, June is like December up here in the North - I wonder if they get a lot of snow... Peace and smiles

23. Yusuf, know, for all your 'True Blue' fans, Downunder, this is the best news they could have wished for. 'Fair dinkum', 'what a rip- snorter', (a little aussie slang). Seriously, I will never forget the impact you had on us Downunder, and I'm sure you never forgot. I was fortunate to have seen you in concert in Melbourne 1972,(you may remember going horse riding in Bayswater), and in London 2009. Now don't 'squib out' on us, we have been waiting very patiently. The southern hemisphere is ready with open arms to welcome you once more. 'Bet my word', it will be an experience you and your family will always treasure. I will remind you, the cute koala bear toys, make perfect gifts for your cute little grand daughters.

27. This is truly wonderful - and I must comment - the art work above - is simply beautiful - maybe another tee-shirt for the collection. I know there are a lot of Yusuf fans in these countries - and I've heard New Zealand is spectacular. Hoping these shows take place - I know a lot of people will be as excited as we were - to have the chance to see you perform live again - the most beautiful music with the most beautiful voice. 29. How wonderful for your fans in New Zealand and Australia! I must admit that my envy (and greed!) are burning quite strong, having had the absolute honor of seeing you twice last year in London. I am so happy that you are once again enjoying performing for your fans; we have waited so long for this.
