Australia tour wraps up in Brisbane

Tonight at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Yusuf completed his first tour of Australia in over 36 years. This exhilarating and highly emotional journey which started back in Perth on June 10th reached it’s climax tonight in Brisbane.

3. Thank you for coming to Brisbane and sharing your beautiful music (both old and new) with us. You are such an incredibly beautiful person. It was the best concert I have ever attended and I don't think anything I ever see could ever top it! I was in tears at several points throughout the concert! 5. Thank you Yusuf, for coming to sing to us in Australia and share your wonderful music. 'Tea for the Tillerman' was the first record I bought as a young girl, and I never thought I would ever see you singing live. It was just fantastic on Saturday night. Also, loved seeing my husband and our son on the screen during 'Father and Son'. It was a very emotional experience for us and you sing with such beauty - the sound of the thousands of others singing with you was amazing.

6. Yusuf, your concert in Brisbane was spellbinding. I promised my daughter that if you ever toured Australia we would go, no matter what it took - and now we have seen you in person! You were wonderful. Your music is magical and the feelings of love and peace which flowed out across the audience were amazing. You inspire us. Traditions and Memories are the most important things we can leave our family and Saturday night's concert will be one of the cherished memories that my daughter and I will continue to share with the special people who were at the concert with us, and for that, I cannot thank you enough. 8. My wife and I watched you in awe on 23/6 in Sydney. Being a fan of the "old" Cat as a teenager back in the mid 70's I was breathless with anticipation at seeing you play after so many years. From the first notes of I wept tears of joy to hear your wonderful voice and to be in your presence. Your concert was an experience that will remain with me always. You are truly an inspiration. 13. It is now the day after your concert and I am still touched by what happened last night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Your music, your stories, your voice mashallah was so uplifting and inspiring. Thank you for sharing all that with us and for allowing us to take this journey with you. 20. Thankyou again, Yusuf. You know... you couldn't have planned a career more perfectly. Planting the seeds of those wonderful songs 40 odd years ago, and now that many of us are looking into the twilights of our own journeys, we can enjoy the beauty and shade of the lovely maturity of your creations, still being delivered by the seed sower! That's how I experienced being there last night. I also found it special that as we listened to the tale of moonshadows inside,there was indeed a lunar eclipse casting moon shadows on us from above. What a serendipitous night we had here in Brisbane!

21. Yusuf you took me places I have not been for years.....my heart was so light......u took me back to the carefree days of the 70's when we followed our hearts. After listening to Yusuf's music for so long, it was so surreal to finally see him in concert.....the music was perfect (those 3 guitars at once was magic), the FOH mix by Alan was also perfect - easily the most balanced i've heard at that venue.... Yusuf's peaceful lyrics and beautiful music, coupled with conversations with people i hold dear before the show, the concert last night brought some peace and honesty into a world that desperately needs it.... 25. Just loved the concert last night in Brisbane, would have happily sat there all night. I have been waiting for that since I was a teenager, and the songs were new. They still sound new and their resonance has not chnaged with the passing of time. Thank you.
