10 Promises to Peace: Lecture & Performance

After two memorable nights at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, yesterday at the National Gallery of Victoria Yusuf took a break from his Concert tour to talk at a Gala dinner organised by the Interfaith Centre of Melbourne and the Islamic Council of Victoria. Speaking of his spiritual journey, Yusuf focused on the importance of the 10 Commandments and how applying them in our daily lives is the road to peaceful coexistence.

To round off the evening Yusuf performed an acoustic set with his new custom-made Maton Guitar gifted to him by Paul Dainty (Tour promoter), singing ‘All Kinds of Roses, Maybe there’s a world’ and ‘Peace Train’ much to the delight of the guests.

What’s next:

Yusuf’s now in Sydney preparing for 2 sell out shows at the Entertainment Centre on the 21st and 23rd June.

1. I saw Yusuf in Adelaide and Sydney. Having grown up on his music (and seeing him at the age of 12 at Thebarton Town Hall) it was a truly moving experience. I cried through most of the Adelaide concert and was able to rock along in Sydney. The new music is fantastic and he has true spiritual aura. Just amazing. Thankyou Yusuf.

3. I went to the Melbourne concert last Friday night and it was an amazing experience. For all those people who will be seeing Yusuf soon, you will have a wonderful time and the tears of joy will be free flowing to see such a master musician! Enjoy! 5. new to this page and wonder.. sounds like these days there's a lot of peace work to do within the islam followers.. why is islam the leader of war in the world today? what's to be done to dramatically change that sad situation? i grew up with many muslim friends and have always felt close to them and did much to protect that beautiful culture.. recently it have become a very very very tough one to protect or to be honest even for me to feel positive about. a good faith should NEVER be the source for such extreme hatred. what went wrong?

7. Less than 24 hours away from the Sydney show!!! My wife and 8 year old daughter attending along with me....We cant WAIT to enjoy the experience. We are traveling far, and Staying in Sydney to make it a VERY SPECIAL and MEMORABLE NIGHT!!! ITs REALLY HAPPENING!! we are SO fortunate and THANKFUL! THANK YOU FOR COMING!!

9. Hi guys. I am very sad to report my wife and I who live in Los Angeles and have seen Yusuf live on the Tonight Sow w/ Jay Leno, at the Island 50 show in London and at the first of the 4 show tour in Dublin with the goons that could not appreciate greatness, will not be able to make it to Sydney. We have 2 tickets sec 36 row L seats 15-16. We paid $318.45 au. We want them to go to a fan over price. We love Cat!! mullintodd@verizon.net
