Yusuf To Address The Islamic Society Of North America

On July 3rd Yusuf will be travelling to Washington to address the Islamic Society Of North America’s annual convention.

The theme of this year’s convention is “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness”.

The convention is attended by prominent members and scholars of the Muslim community from around the globe.

1. I echo the appeal for a transcript of Yusuf's speech. PLEASE!! I posted a comment when roadsinger was released saying how much I love it and how it has got me back into all the old Cat Stevens albums as well. I wonder if anyone else is also equally as devoted to the Kaiser Chiefs music (as I am!!) and who also went to see The Enemy at Somerset House last Friday! (as I did!).

5. I was (still am really)a huge fan of Cat Stevens and was sad when he left the music scene, thinking I'd never hear his plaintive and soulful voice again. Now that Yusuf has emerged, my heart rejoices. I just got An Other Cup and roadsinger and I can't stop listening to them. The voice is definitely still there, mellowed and a bit deeper, but lovely all the same. Thank you Yusuf for being in the world, and for your message.
