  Yusuf To Present Mojo Achievement Award To Chris Blackwell

  Yusuf is attending the 2009 Mojo Honours List ceremony in London this evening where he will present Chris Blackwell with the Mojo Medal special achievement award.

  Chris was the founder of Island Records and signed Yusuf to the label in 1970.

  The award comes as Island celebrates its 50th birthday and last month Yusuf headlined the label’s show at the Shepherds Bush Empire.

  Yusuf also spoke about the label during an interview which features on the deluxe edition of Roadsinger.

  4. I feel they couldn't have made a better choice than Yusuf to present the award to Chris Blackwell. It will be a very special moment for them.
