  Monday 10th August

  Yusuf at Cropredy Festival

  This weekend Yusuf will be making a special appearance alongside Fairport Convention at the legendary Cropredy Festival.

  He will be joining the band on stage on Saturday (August 15) to perform live.

  The event, organised by Fairport Convention, takes place in the village of Cropredy in Oxfordshire and has been held annually since the 1970s.

Cropredy My time at cropredy alone, I had been many times in eighties and nineties, But this year was so special, I had for a very long time listened to Yusuf, with the first Deram and Deca releases A soul that shone with bright light With my waking up to the very real world of consequence and action, events at home and abroad, my heart is heavy At cropredy the singer came to town, shone his light and I realized I was not alone Many Thanks Peter

  2. When my wife and I first went out together as teenagers in 1974, we used to lay together and listen to, amongst others, Cat Stevens' - Teaser and the Firecat & Tea for the Tillerman. We got back together after 25 years and got married in 2003, it was indescribably the sweetest thing to hold hands and listen to him again, live at Cropredy, we were so lucky. May you soon be touring!

  3. If I lived in England - I would be in the front row - like I was in 1970. And Walter - I'd pay gladly for that ticket! My dream is to see you sing one more time live - before I give up the concert going. Dreams can come true - even if it is a billion to one shot... Margaret Griffith
