Take My Time Tour Reaches End of Road

Having graced stages in Dublin, Birmingham and Liverpool, on Tuesday night Yusuf’s Take My Time Tour will close in the glorious surroundings of the Royal Albert Hall.

The show will follow the same format as previous critically-acclaimed performances – beginning with a bonus 25-minute preview of ‘Moonshadow’ followed by an intermission after which Yusuf will take to the stage with a full band to perform hits, both new and old, from his extensive back catalogue.

Seeing You at Royal Albert Hall was undeniably one of the top concerts that I've seen of yours .. As Cat as Yusuf. You were full embodiment of Joy and You were so vibrational in movement and voice that it was a crescendo when your glasses flew off a few times . That speaks volumes!! You gave it your ALL and you were in the fullness of the Spirit and it showed! The Best Concert hands down from this Tour-and the excerpt from Musical was magnificent easpecially "Matthew and Son" and "But I might die tonight" I can only imagine what it will be like with full stage design!! 2. Dear Yusuf, I traveled with my best friend to London to see you at the Royal Albert Hall show. We heard you warming up and found a door that allowed us to watch you practice, and my heart was filled with joy to finally see you and hear you live... You have enriched the lives of so many, and your words and music have the gift of centering us in this dark world. The children can play in your music and in your space, you allow us that intimacy. 4. Just arrived from London... I just want to say one word: LEGENDARY Once you came on stage and started singing World OÂ´Darkness I started crying remenbering someone who would have loved to finally see you live: my sweet mother who died in March... I was hoping hardly for her to be with me in such a special night; she made me a hardcore Cat Stevens fan so to her, my sweet mother ANA CALDEIRA I dedicate this magical evening;IÂ´m sure she saw it and enjoy it from Heaven. 7. There are no words I can use to describe what I might experience Tuesday night. The moment you entered the stage it was such a wonderful feeling like taking off in a plane and I still haven't landed yet!! Getting an autograph with the words "Thinking bout you" was the topping up. Hope you like my little present (scarf from Burkina Faso) as much as your daughter does. 9. It is truly magical when an artist connects so strongly with an audience, as Yusuf did at the Royal Albert Hall, touching an audience's soul. And then the audience gives back, connects with the artist, and the music is and remains a vehicle that manifests its beautiful essence. I am so overjoyed to hear of the success of Yusuf's phenomenal concert in London. Keep making beautiful music my friend. The world truly needs you.

10. We have just arrived home from London, after The Best Concert EVER!!! So sorry, I didn't manage to get to meet you in person, after the gig, but I did see your wonderful Son, and even managed to get a picture of him with his band!!! Thanks all! How fabulous, that I was lucky enough to be at Birmingham and The RAH, it was wonderful to see how much more you are at home with performing again, so great to see you enjoying it as much as we all were! 14. What can I say... a fantastic night. Magical, emotional and at the end got to meet the great man himself. He graciously spoke to his fans and signed autographs.Wow.. The Moonshadow segment was a joy and the the cast did a great job. The set list was perfectly chosen but I did want to hear The Hurt from Foreigner but I cant complain as I had seen him do this at the same venue in 76. 16. Iâ€™m happy to hear so many people raving about Catâ€™s recent tour and preview of his musical Moonshadow. I think its time for him to exert his creative genius in another medium: film. It would be wonderful to view a serious biopic of Catâ€™s life in the genres of Gandhi or Malcolm X. His is an undeniably powerful and exceptional life, a life about suffering, betrayal, love, sacrifice, transformation, and of coming full circle. Brad Pit would be excellent in Catâ€™s role. Heâ€™s quite adept in expressing complex and conflicted emotions. What does everyone here think? Should a biopic be made of Catâ€™s life? I say Godspeed with the idea.

17. Yusuf, I was at the RAH last night. You were awesome. I left a rose on the stage for you,I hope you got it. Just wanted to say that I love the new stuff too,but my fave has always been 'Catch Bull at Four' Thankyou for singing 'sitting.' It made my night soooo special. We had such a wonderful time last night I cant put how we feel into words it was amazing, I just wish we had stayed behind after the show to meet Yusuf but we had to catch a train back to Margate. Yusuf's performance last night bought tears to my eyes I never throught I would get to see this legend play we are getting married next year and will have one of his many songs for our 1st dance & morning has broken in the church thank you so much keep sing and playing the guitar, hope you fixed your glasses love & Peace xx

19. Yusuf I'm on my way back to New York today. If the concert wasn't enough, meeting you and getting your autograph on my ticket after the show left me with a huge smile and a warm heart. You are so humble, staying to make sure all who waited got to meet you and your beautiful wife. When I asked if you would sign my US Passport I was joking, alluding to what prompted you to write Boots & Sand...I told you and security I would be proud to tell US authorities whose signature it was...I think you understood my humor, but clearly the security guard wasn't familiar with your 2004 experience. What I also wanted to say but forgot was to consider playing JazzFest in New Orleans if you decide to play music in the States again. You will fit in perfectly there. Thanks again. I never thought I'd hear him sing some of his classic songs such as 'I love my dog', 'Here comes my baby' and 'The first cut is the deepest', plus of course those he performed on the other nights. I've just attended the London show and I was really thrilled to hear live the songs that were the soundtrack of my youth and moreover because I had the opportunity to meet Yusuf face to face at the exit of the stage door. He has been very friendly and conceeded even few seconds to anyone waiting for him signing autograph and saying few friendly word to any of us. It's something that I'll always remember. 33. Is there liley to be an album from the tour? I was at Liverpool and would love a live album of Yusuf playing the old and the new songs. I've been a fan since the 60s and to be honest I think Yusuf's voice is better now than ever.

37. Just got back to Portsmouth after the Liverpool show. I have been a Cat/Yusuf fan for years and this show was fabulous and didn't disappoint. Your music really speaks to me on a very deep level.I was so pleased you had such a good reception in Liverpool. 38. Wishing you a wonderful final concert at RAH. This has been a very special time for both Yusuf and all of his fans and has given many the most unforgettable, emotional and moving memories. 39. Have a wonderful time on Tuesday night( at the R.A.H.), Yusuf, Alun, and the rest of the band and the wonderful cast of the Moonshadow excerpt(and the audience of course). I should think it would be impossible for it to be better than Liverpool!! I wish I could be there too, but I felt so priveleged to be at the Liverpool concert (which will stay in my heart forever, whatever forever is!)that I feel I should not complain!!!!(as so many others could not get to any of the concerts.)Love and peace foreverxxxx, and yet again Thank you for your return to us, your fans, and friends.
