Channel 4 To Broadcast Island 50 Concert

Channel 4 are set to air Yusuf’s recent appearance at the Island 50 anniversary concert.

As part of their Island Life series of shows, selections from Yusuf’s set will be included in two of the programmes.

On June 16th they will include his performance of ‘Father and Son’, while the rendition of ‘Roadsinger’ will appear in the June 18th broadcast.

1. Dear Yusuf, your rendition of "Father and Son" was absolutely breathtaking - deja vu marvellously mixed with a very uplifting sense of timelessness. "Roadsinger" was a step back into reality - streetwise, yet infused with an inextinguishable, childlike hope - so beautifully bittersweet. Thank you.

2. Good program would of been nicer if it had been longer though! Had a great night at the Shepherds Bush Empire, hopefully a DVD will come out of the whole concert so we can relive that night!
