Classic Cat Stevens Albums
ReissuedNearly four decades after their first release, the classic Cat Stevens albums Tea for the Tillerman and Teaser and the Firecat are to be reissued on 4th November as newly re-mastered deluxe editions.
Tea for the Tillerman was the 1970 album that established Cat Stevens as one of the finest singer-songwriters of his generation, and features some of his best known songs including “Wild World”, “Where Do The Children Play?” and “Miles from Nowhere.” It was named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top 500 greatest albums of all time.
Teaser and the Firecat followed in 1971, with hits such as “Moonshadow”, “Peace Train” and Stevens’ popular rendition of “Morning Has Broken.”
The deluxe editions contain both the original album and a second disc of rarities, including previously unreleased demos and historical live performances chosen by Yusuf himself. Each package will also feature a booklet with the complete original artwork, and new liner notes by producer Paul Samwell-Smith, long time guitarist Alun Davies, and Yusuf.
