Yusuf’s sixth child, a son named Abd Al-Ahad, dies after 13 days of life. Two months later, Ingrid Georgiou (Safiyyah), Yusuf’s mother, dies. She is buried as a Muslim. The same year Yusuf travels to Iraq as part of a peace delegation, successfully securing the release of four hostages. -
