Yusuf sues The Globe tabloid in the US for $5m for claiming he was devoted to Imam Khomeini and that he was living in Iran with a begging bowl in a school for aspiring Ayatollahs! (In fact, he was living in London with his wife and children and had never set foot in Iran.) The publishers settled out of court and agreed to print two lengthy articles to correct the misinformation and put the record straight. -
