Welcome to the new look Yusufislam.com! 2008 sees Yusuf turn 60, and this revamped website is a timely celebration of the life and work of one of the world’s great singer-songwriters.
The central feature is a richly detailed Lifeline guiding you through Yusuf’s extraordinary journey to date – from his early days growing up in 1950’s London and charting his rise to stardom through the 1960’ and 1970’s. The site also provides a fascinating insight into Yusuf’s life after his conversion to Islam, revealing details about his philanthropic activities during the 80’s and 90’s, through to the present day and his return to recording music and performing live.
As well as exploring an in depth biography and discography, you can learn about Yusuf’s extensive work in charity and education. Click on ‘Give’ to find out about Small Kindness, the award winning U.N. affiliated NGO established by Yusuf in 2000. ‘Think’ tells you about Mountain of Light Productions, home to Yusuf’s personal reflections on spirituality and peace.
But without doubt the most unique part of the website is the ‘RedRoom’. A members-only area, the RedRoom offers registered users access to exclusive material including never seen before photographs, rare audio and video material, Yusuf’s diary, and best of all ’100 I Dream’ – Yusuf’s own personal extras page.
