Why Has He Stopped Wearing Muslim Robes?
It’s mostly to do with what I feel comfortable wearing. Early on, I needed to secure my identity as a Muslim and felt I needed to ‘look’ like others in the Mosque.
The turban was something the Prophet, peace and blessings on him, wore. However, there’s no requirement to do that, and any form of cultural dress is a part of the beauty of God’s creative power given to humans to exercise… beyond minimum fig leaf requirement.
