  1. the song in the album roadsinger called "to be what you must" starts with a very similar tune "sitting" from you earlier moments of singing. i have admired you (cat) since i was three when i heard you songs, the album "the very best of Cat Stevens". we then lost that Album in Spain and then two year after loosing it we bought "tea for the tillerman." afterwards i bought "the very best of Cat Stevens" from the itunes store!! I realise that you (cat) have learned a lot in life, i can hear it in your music and melody, you had songs like Wild World and Lady D'arbanbille, and one of my favourites "Where do the children play". I learned my English from memorising your songs, the new songs in your new albums are slower and more emotional and somewhat more effective. i hope that you have achieved on what you set out to achieve because music from people like you teach expiriences in life. Good Luck!! Thanks for your comfort!

  3. Dear yusuf a new album is due now to uplift the human spirit. The unending wars for the resources of the land have dampened the human spirit. Please please give something to cheer up to this world. Your presence in this world is a treasure , and a bounty , let us see your charming songs and Digs again. i hope you will consider this request seriously.

  4. Been a fan since the early 70's when I saw you appear in Glasgow,Scotland with Alun and Larry in a cinema when you came on stage at about 2.00am. Very unreal but as usual immacualte performance. Just watched Majikat again on SkY Arts and just brought home what a great songwriter we are lucky to have in you. Thanks for all the great memories.

  7. Cat Stevens sounds fantastic on every album he put out. "But surely, he can't perform that well live," some might think. Wrong...this album proves that some artists are just born with the natural gift of music, and can express it in the same way no matter if they are in a studio or in front of a massive audience in Virginia. Stevens is obviously one of these brilliant artists.

  8. I used to watch Majikat videos on Youtube. I loved them so much, I had to buy the album. After hearing the album, my brother bought me the actual DVD. One of the greatest buys in my life.

  9. Dear Yusuf, I hope everything goes well for you. I couldn't find anywhere else to send you a message but I had something important to tell you; Your song, Father and Son, saved my life last year. I was gonna commit suicide but I stopped it because I accidentally found your song on Facebook and just played it so that I could listen to it for the first time in my life, I continued to listen till the morning that night, and it worked, it saved my life, or perhaps you did it. But you need to know something very important, in Islam we believe that if you save one mans life, its like saving the whole humanity, all the people around us, and you did this, I just wanted to say thank you. Take care, and wish you all the best. Hope I had a chance to see you in person and we could be friend forever. I love your voice. Michael.

  15. Thank you for everything, Yusuf. It is my most sincere wish that I may one day see you live one day. I mean no disrespect when I say such a journey, for me, would be a pilgrimage. Your music, your life's story, has brought me closer to Allah than anything thus far. Perhaps, one day, I will cross the final barrier. Please, continue on, bringing joy to the world. May Peace find you and yours through all of time as we may comprehend.

  16. Fall of 1972: 16 years old, sitting crosslegged on a huge floor pillow in my family's living room after school, embroidering workshirt, jeans, sun streaming through the windows, listening to Teaser and the Firecat. Going for long walks full of teenage angst with Cat Stevens playing on my mental radio. "Oh, Very Young" still makes my eyes fill with tears. Thank you so much for not just the joy-filled memories, but for coming back and reminding us that the peace we strove for then is still possible.

  20. Yusuf Islam is an amazing singer. The concepts and lessons that come from each and every one of his songs is astounding. Every time I sit down to my computer the first thing I do is open itunes and play Cat Stevens or songs from the Roadsinger album, they truly lift my spirits and make me think about certain ethical issues which we are consumed in today. I have had an obsession with father and son since i was about 5 years old and have dreamed many times of being able to sing it with Yusuf, which may sound very corny but ever since listening to Ronan Keating and Yusuf sing together it has made my goal in life to achieve the same thing. I am 16 years old and eagerly awaiting the coming of Yusuf to perform in Australia.

  22. My Wife Deborra and I are lifelong Fans of Yusuf Islam/ Cat Steven's music!!! We live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and waited for seven hours in sub zero temperatures to buy tickets from Sam the Record Man retail store for Cat Steven's last concert in 1971. We were within 4 people of getting tickets - we lost out, and there were literally THOUSANDS of people stretching blocks behind us who were turned away! There was a near riot, and we left in tears. I marched into Sam Sniderman's office above the store (the Concert Promoter) and told him of our harrowing experience, and after that all concerts had a wristband policy to prevent a catastrophe like what could have been from happening again. I was so upset that we missed the concert that I have NEVER forgotten what happened for all of this time!

  24. Yusuf, thank you...for being who you are and sharing your wonderful talent with us all. I have loved your music since the 70's and have waited a long time to see you. I was not disappointed.. Your songs have helped me look inside myself for something that was buried very deep and I think I have started down a new path, almost like your "Moonshadow". Again, I thank you, for everything you are and have given to all. Deepest love & respect to you ad your family. Joy C

  25. I attended the show on Sunday 15th Nov. at the 02 arena in Dublin and it took me right back to 1970 and all the memories came alive I sang all of the songs with Yusuf as did my daughters who were raised on the music of Cat Stevens I really enjoyed it. I felt that the preview of Moonshadow went on a little long as most of the people there wanted to hear Yusuf singing his songs not other people, especially Wild World. I felt sorry for the cast and for Yusuf but I persevered and stayed there while all around me walked out and it was worth it when Yusuf came back and treated us all to his wonderful "Cat" songs the only draw back for me was when that eejit Ronan came on and murdered Father and Son he must have been hanging around the stage door all night waiting to be asked in the poor saddo. Thank you Yusuf for your music which I have passed on to my children who also love you. Keep on giving and sharing your gift with the world and I am glad I was part of that era when you gave of your best. Come back to Dublin again soon.

  36. I regret but it's clear that by this time Cat was already with his mind elsewhere, he seems tired and his singing is one of a disappointed man obligated to perform his ambitious Majikat Tour. I know some may disagree with my point of view but I'll respect it. Despite that it still is a joy and a one time oportunity to watch Cat Stevens live since before I bought this DVD I had never seen him in live footage, only picturesof him, so imagine my excitement.
